It is already since some years that one can find beauty products based on extracts of vine, grapes and grape-pomace but the use of the plant for cosmetic purposes is only recent. Only some ten years ago treatments like wine-therapy (which has its origins in France) were considered pioneeristic: today, wine-immersion, masssage with grape-pomace oil and applications of  grape-skins have become regular treatments. The vine and its grapes contain organic acids and precious minerals like sodium, potassium, iodine, and phosphorus which have beneficial effects on both skin and hair.
